In a page or post
Section titled “In a page or post”Add a Custom HTML block where you want the widget, and paste:
<script src="https://rentx.al/embed.js" data-rentx-partner="your-partner-id"></script>Preview the published page — the block editor does not run scripts, so the widget often looks blank while you are editing even when it is correct.
In a sidebar or footer
Section titled “In a sidebar or footer”Use a Custom HTML widget in the same way. Sidebars are narrow, so set the panel layout:
<script src="https://rentx.al/embed.js" data-rentx-partner="your-partner-id" data-layout="panel"></script>If the sidebar is narrower than 300px, use the default bar layout instead.
If the tag disappears when you save
Section titled “If the tag disappears when you save”Some hosts and security plugins strip <script> from post content, and some
user roles are not permitted to publish it. Check the published page’s source
for embed.js. If it is missing, publish as an administrator — that is the fix that keeps the
widget fully working. The iframe version survives
script filtering but its search button does not work, so read that page first.
Page builders — Elementor, Divi, WPBakery — all have an HTML or Code widget that works the same way.
